Tanah Lot is one of the main directions of the temple in Bali. The temple is situated on a rock off the coast. It is said that the work of the 15th century, revered Hindu priest Nirartha and are an important part of spirtualism Balinese mythology.
This is a popular tourist destination and the entire region are often very busy, in fact, especially in late afternoon before sunset. The area between the parking lot (Rp 5.000 per vehicle) and the beach next to the temple is a labyrinth of souvenir shops almost every conceivable Bali jewelry.
Just fought your way through the souvenir vendors on the beach, you will see the magnificent temple perched on a rock a few meters. There is a path to large area of rock in the south, where the view of the church and the sunset behind them is too late.

Restoration of the church. A comprehensive rehabilitation program began in the 1990s after it was found that the rock has been seriously undermined and threatened with collapse. This important work leads to the temple is the border itself, but sometimes the case in early 2009. This is not really a barrier to visitors, however, that the entrance of the temple itself is not the main attraction.
