Neka Museum was founded by Suteja Neka, an art collector of Bali, in 1975. This museum has an excellent collection of art and a variety of nicely displayed artworks to visitors. Neka Museum is the best place to study the development of painting Bali. This museum has several rooms including a room used to display paintings made by local artists which are heavily influenced by the art of shadow puppets.
To get to Neka museum, you will need to drive approximately 2 km west from Ubud Market heading to Payangan Street. It is about 14 kilometers from Gianyar and 26 kilometers from Denpasar. Something that worth the journey.
